About us
120 years of tradition and community
Founded in 1905, The Drive Bowling Club has welcomed generations of bowlers to our secluded grounds in Hove. Just five minutes from Hove Station, our club offers a peaceful setting away from the noise of the city.
In 2007, we installed one of Sussex’s first all-weather bowling surfaces, allowing our members to play 365 days a year, rain or shine. Our refurbished clubhouse features a licensed bar and comfortable lounge, ideal for relaxing after a game.
We welcome bowlers of all ages and abilities. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, you will find a warm welcome at The Drive.

Refurbished in 2020, our clubhouse has a licensed bar, comfortable seating, and modern changing facilities.

We are more than a sports club. Our members range from beginners to county players, all sharing a love of the game.
Qualified coaches on site
Whether you are picking up a bowl for the first time or looking to sharpen your game, our coaches are here to help. We offer free coaching every Sunday morning, with no booking required.
Sundays, 10:30am to 12pm. All welcome.
